Cindy A. Minalt | Federal Benefits Service
Cindy A. Minalt, CFBS
National Benefits Director
Cindy Minalt has more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry, and she is a National Benefits Director for Federal Benefits Service. She is designated as a Certified Federal Benefits Specialist (CFBS), and holds her life, health and annuities insurance license in most states.
“I am trained and licensed, and I specialize in helping federal employees navigate their retirement benefits,” Cindy says. “My interest in this work was shaped by both of my parents. My father was a city employee with a pension and benefits package similar to those of many federal employees, and my mother worked in insurance. Seeing the importance of informed financial decisions inspired me to build a career focused on helping federal employees understand their options and make confident retirement decisions.” My approach is educational – I focus on making the complex feel simple. I contribute to my clients’ success by helping give them a clear, confident path to retirement. I set goals with them, show them the steps to take, and help them avoid the costly mistakes that many federal employees make.”
What Cindy most enjoys about her job is helping clients put all the pieces together. “Building a retirement plan feels like solving a puzzle, and when everything clicks into place, it’s incredibly rewarding. It’s exciting to play a role in such an important life milestone,” she says. “My goal and mission as an advisor is to continually grow, both in knowledge and in resources I offer, so I can support my clients at the highest level. I’m grateful that much of my business now comes from referrals, and my goal is to keep earning that trust by consistently delivering exceptional guidance.”
Born and raised in Chicago, Cindy received a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University. She works with federal employees across the country, helping them navigate the complexities of retirement planning through personalized education and guidance.
